The weather forecast for the beginning of the trip is a little iffy and keeps changing between high 50's and damp, to low 60's and sun. With luck, the last week when were are in Kamloops and the Okanagan will be dry and relatively warm.
Here are the highlights of our trip (the general area we'll be traveling to is shown on the sidebar map):
- Three nights in an apartment in the Kitsilano area of Vancouver
- A Friday morning tour of the Granville Island Public Market with Edible British Columbia
- Back to Granville Island Friday night to see a performance of Don Quixote
- Dim sum lunch and market tour of Chinatown on Saturday afternoon with British Columbia
- Two nights at Nita Lake Lodge at Whistler (some 2010 Winter Olympic events were held here) two-hours' drive north of Vancouver
- Two nights in Kamloops
- Five nights in the Okanagan wine-growing region where we'll attend the Fall Wine Festival
- Back to Vancouver at the end of the trip for one night at the Granville Island Hotel before we fly home on Wednesday, October 6th.
